School Scenarios
The following are a series of real scenarios of sex trafficking that occurred on school campuses in the United States. You will notice that these school scenarios are the same stories as the case studies provided in the Case Studies tab. These school scenarios are formatted to be utilized during the training of educators and student leaders.
Rather than examining the vulnerabilities and lacking resources and support for the students featured in these stories, the school scenarios focus more on being able to identify specific risk factors and warning signs that would alert someone that this student is a potential trafficking victim. The Schools scenarios also provide the opportunity to discuss what steps would be taken to address the issue, should a student be identified as a trafficking victim. Also, this exercise challenges the participants to identify specific community resources that could provide assistance to a student who may be identified as a trafficking victim.
